About the Clinic
Cutis focuses on safety and effectiveness: Their medical and scientific director is a Harvard-trained epidemiologist and public health specialist who reviews published clinical data before any treatment is introduced into their system.
Cutis focuses on patient education and a patient-centered approach: They start by conducting a specialized skin analysis to objectively identify potential areas of improvement. They then discuss clinical studies with their patients to allow them to make informed decisions about their treatment options. The result is a customized treatment plan that suits a person’s individual needs and concerns.
They focus on US FDA-cleared treatments and products: This provides reassurance to them as well as to their patients that every laser, light or skin treatment has been rigorously evaluated and is safe and effective for the patient’s skin type.

Pearl Treatment
There is a growing demand among patients and practitioners for a more aggressive treatment to address wrinkles and uneven texture while minimizing the recovery time experience from other aggressive ablative technologies. The Pearl laser maximizes the ratio of cosmetic benefit versus patient downtime with it’s proprietary 2790nm wavelength. This wavelength allows the Pearl to combine the impact of resurfacing lasers with the gentleness and safety of non-invasive procedures to treat aging and sun-damaged skin. Pearl reduces wrinkles, uneven texture and shallow acne scars with fewer treatments and less overall recovery to provide a healthy, pearl-like glow.
During the procedure, the top layer of the skin is removed with pulses of light in a pre-selected pattern while, simultaneously, the laser sends heat to the deeper layers of the skin to provide longer-term benefits. A natural protective dressing forms on the skin to minimize social downtime during the restorative process. By day 4, this natural dressing with peel off revealing new, healthy and vibrant skin.
Titan Treatment
Known in Hollywood as the “non-surgical facelift”, Titan is an FDA approved treatment which addresses skin laxity to improve naso-labial folds, lines around the mouth, droopiness of the skin around the cheeks and neck, droopy eyelids and even skin on the arms, abdomen and legs. It works by directly stimulating the cells that build collagen and elastin in the deep layers of the skin. Clinical studies show increased collagen fibers resulting in tighter skin. Titan puts “collagen in your bank” resulting in a natural-appearing refreshed and tighter look.
A safe treatment for all skin types, without downtime, even stars nominated for the Oscars come and do it the night before the event. The Titan is an all natural option to actively turn back the clock on aging skin. It’s an ideal solution to enhance your youthful and healthy appearance without surgery, recovery time, or injections. We recommend 2-3 treatments every 4-6 weeks.

User Consultation Report
Consultation
Yuri’s skin concerns are mainly her pigmentation, wrinkles and square jaw.
Dr. Sylvia analyzed Yuri’s skin with VISIA and discussed her concerns before deciding on the treatment that will best suit her needs. Dr. Sylvia then decided on using Botox on Yuri’s lower skin to address the big muscle on Yuri's lower face.
* VISIA shows results for surface and sub surface skin conditions and ensure clear visualization and patient communication.
Treatment
Botox
Botox is the brand name for botulinum toxin, a highly purified protein which may be injected in small doses to eliminate wrinkles on the face. It temporarily blocks the signal from a nerve to a muscle, making the muscle weaker. When this happens, the wrinkle formed by muscle contraction relaxes and softens. In Singapore and the rest of Asia, Botox is also commonly used to “slim down” the lower face when it is injected on the muscle along the angles of the jaw. A Botox treatment takes only a few minutes and weakens only the targeted muscle so that your natural facial expressions will not be affected. Tiny amounts of Botox are injected into specific muscles with a very fine needle, thus the procedure is almost "pain-free".
Procedures
-
Questionnaire
A detailed questionnaire regarding Yuri’s medical history and lifestyle habits is first requested to ensure that the best treatment is chosen for her.
-
Facial Cleansing
Yuri’s face is cleansed thoroughly by the therapist so as to prepare her for the Botox treatment. The Botox will be injected on the lower part of her face.
-
Signing of Consent
As the clinic’s standard procedure, Yuri had to sign a notice of consent before the Botox injections could be administered.
-
Cooling of Treatment Areas
The therapist uses a small ice pack (at times, topical anesthetic) to cool and numb Yuri’s face before Dr. Sylvia begins with the Botox injections.
-
Injection of Botox
Dr. Sylvia asked Yuri to crunch her teeth as she gives three quick small injections of Botox on each side of the lower face.
Results
Yuri says...
- Doctor: The doctor took time to analyze my condition and explain about the treatment.
- Treatment: The VISIA showed my skin condition very clearly. Meanwhile, the Botox injection was painless.
- Post-treatment: I immediately went back to work after the treatment. The next day, the clinic called to check my condition. A month after the treatment, I realized that my jaw muscle seemed smaller. After 3 months, my jaw muscle was considerably slighter. I went back to the clinic to check the result with VISIA and the difference was visible.
