CO2 Fractional Laser
CO2 Fractional laser is the latest revolutionary approach to skin resurfacing. For many years, many have desired the significant results of the traditional CO2 laser without the lengthy downtime. Finally, there is now a solution: Fractional CO2 laser (Microcell).
What are the unique benefits?
CO2 fractional laser produces more significant and quicker benefits compared to traditional non ablative technologies. It allows for treatment to deeper parts of the skin, treating more stubborn skin conditions. Results are quickly seen within a week even after the first session. The skin appears softer, fairer and tauter. Blemishes including lines and scars and pigmentation are lightened. The benefits of the treatment continue over the next few months as the skin continues to produce new collagen. The laser can be used on any part of the body, particularly the face, neck, chest and hands. Therefore it can be used to even treat difficult areas around the eyes, lips, necks and hands.
How does it work?
As the body ages, the appearance and quality of the skin deteriorates. Both the epidermis and dermis becomes thinner and damaged, resulting in the formation of facial blemishes, sagging skin and wrinkles. Fractional laser treatment treats both the epidermis and dermis. The laser beam, is broken up into many micro energy beam treatments and delivered into the skin, producing separate and deep columns of treatment areas known as microthermal treatment zones (MTZs). Within each MTZ, blemished cells in the epidermis are removed and collagen regeneration and remodeling is stimulated in the dermis. The healthy and intact cells around the MTZs allows for a quick healing process.

- Skin laxity
- Sun damaged and ageing skin
- Pigmentation

User Consultation Report
Consultation
Yuri has long been concerned about the large birthmark on her face, her pigmentation and wrinkles.
For her wrinkles and pigmentation, Dr. See recommended an Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) Treatment. As for Yuri's birthmark, Dr. See suggested the use of Spectra Laser Treatment, also known as Q Switch. The Q Switch ND-YAG laser is a method by which the machine shoots out nanosecond pulses that selectively heat pigments and blood vessels of different sizes by breaking pigments into pieces and closing tiny blood vessels.
Treatment
Spectra Pigmentation removal laser
Many have pigmented spots on their skin including freckles, sunspots and melasma. When conspicuous, these marks can be distressing and distracting. They are many causes of pigmented lesions. Some may be inherited, while others may be due to ageing, sun exposure or other medical conditions.
Procedures
-
Application of Numbing Cream
A numbing cream or topical anesthetic is applied all over Yuri’s face and left for 15 mins. to minimize pain as the IPL and the Spectra Laser are flashed.
-
Application of Gold Gel
Cold gel is applied evenly on Yuri’s face. Cold air is also blown after the gel application to help the topical anesthetic work better.
-
IPL Treatment
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) is flashed all over Yuri’s face. The numbing cream minimizes the heat emitted from the IPL machine.
-
Spectra Laser Treatment
Dr. See flashed the Spectra Laser or Q-Switch nd-yag laser all over Yuri’s face. The laser beams were needle-thin.
-
More Intense Beams - Spectra Laser Treatment
Dr. See then used a more powerful laser beam to target Yuri’s birthmark and other parts where there were extreme pigmentation.
-
Post-Spectra Laser Treatment
White spots appeared on the areas of extreme pigmentation and on Yuri’s birthmark after the stronger type of Q-Switch laser was flashed.
Results
Yuri says...
- Doctor: Dr. See was very honest about the success rate and the treatment results and was very skillful as well.
- Treatment: The treatment was quick and painless.
- Post-treatment: I was very surprised to see that my birthmark was swollen the day after the treatment. Later on, it even became a scab. After 5 days, it gradually began to peel off. Barely a month after the treatment, I could no longer see any discoloration. However, the doctor informed me that the discoloration might resurface, thus I need to get a few more sessions to have it totally removed. Still, the results were impressive.
