Know the Doctor
Dr Dylan Chau graduated from the National University of Singapore, and went on to pursue Aesthetic and Anti-aging Medicine in Europe, America and Asia for accreditation. Certified with the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and European Masters in Aesthetic and Anti-Aging, Dr Chau trained under some of the world’s most renowned plastic surgeons, dermatologists and endocrinologists, and is accredited by the Aesthetic Dermatology Educational Group with certificates of competence by the SMC Aesthetic Practice Oversight Committee. He is also an accredited member of the World Society of Anti-Aging Medicine and International Hormone Society.

Yuri’s skin concerns include pigmentation, wrinkles and dull skin. However, among the three of these, she considers her pigmentation the worst. Thus, Dr. Chau suggested the Broadband Light Laser (BBL) to treat her pigmentation problems.

Broadband Light Laser
The Broadband Light's innovative technology sets new standards for the treatment of skin conditions associated with aging, active lifestyles, and sun damage. Broadband Light energy can be used to treat age spots, small facial veins (telangiectasias), rosacea, solar lentigines (freckles), brown spots, and poikiloderma.

Facial Cleansing
To prepare her skin for the Broadband Light Laser Treatment, the therapist thoroughly removes Yuri’s make-up and cleanses her face.

Application of Cold Gel
The therapist evenly applies cold gel on Yuri’s face. This will allow the BBL to run smoothly over her untreated skin.

Broadband Laser Light Treatment
Dr. Chau flashes the Broadband Laser Light all over her face. Each square centimetre of Yuri's skin that has pigmentation is flashed with BBL.

Application of Sun Block
To make sure that her skin is protected as she goes off to work after the BBL procedure, the therapist applies a generous amount of sun block.

- Doctor: The doctor was friendly, calm, mellow and easy to talk to.
- Clinic Ambience: Luxurious, big and spa-like.
- Treatment: The pain from the BBL was tolerable. Meanwhile, the treatment took only 10 to 15 minutes.
- Post-treatment: After the treatment, my skin pigmentation darkened. However, gradually, the pigmentation began to lighten and after 5 days, nearly all of the darkened pigmentation was gone. This treatment also helped remove facial hair in the process.
