Stop Hair Loss

As was mentioned, hair loss can be caused by hormonal problems.  Hormonal problems could include an overactive thyroid and this can be helped by treating the thyroid illness.  It can also be caused by androgens or estrogens that are out of balance.  Androgens or estrogens that are out of balance can be corrected with HRT.

Many women who just gave birth complain about hair loss.  This hair loss phase occurs about three months’ post-partum.  The hair loss is normal and is due to the high hormone levels during pregnancy.  It is when the levels of estrogen and progesterone normalize that normal growth cycles commence again and the loss may seem more excessive.  Then there is what is commonly called the male pattern baldness or androgenetic alopecia.  This is the most common type of hormone that causes hair loss in men. It is a permanent pattern baldness and

that may have been inherited.

According to experts, the earlier this loss occurs, the more permanent and extensive it is.  There are many treatments available for hair loss, some are natural and some are chemically-altered.  These treatments aim to stop, slow down or even reverse this balding cycle.

Hair loss prevention has been something mankind has searched for over so many decades and we have always been curious about its causes.  Research has showed that the greatest culprit for hair loss is the genes and the hormones.  The good thing is that there are a lot of new innovations to prevent, slow down or even completely stop hair loss.
