When it comes to service, I would give Derma Image a well-deserved 9 out of 10. The level of their customer service is better than most spas; their staff are very knowledgeable -- they were able to answer questions about hair growth, the benefits of oxygen and others; and their equipments are sophisticated. They also offer a full-range of services for all sorts of skin and body problems. What I like most about it though is that their treatments are fuss-free, yet very effective. Their Under Arm Hair Removal was painless and real quick, mind you. Being conveniently located at Far East Plaza doesn’t hurt, either.

At a glance, you would think that Yi Jing's complexion is completely flawless. However, upon closer inspection, you would notice that she has uneven skin tone and her laugh lines are already a bit too obvious for her age. To remedy this, Derma Image recommended the RF (Radiofrequency) Facial to help stimulate and tighten the collagen fibers deep within the skin in order to produce that smooth, glowing effect.

Steps

  1. Cleansing

    Yi Jing’s skin is thoroughly cleansed to remove make-up, dirt and other skin impurities.

  2. Exfoliation

    To remove dead skin cells that keep the skin looking dull and dry, her therapist uses a facial scrub.

  3. Radiofrequency Therapy

    This erases traces of aging by effectively stimulating and tightening the skin’s collagen fibers.

  4. Results

    Yi Jing was given a chance to carefully examine her face to see if the treatment indeed worked for her.

  5. Collagen Mask

    The collagen mask improves the skin’s firmness and elasticity.

  6. Toner

    Adding toner helps restore the skin’s pH balance.

  7. Moisturiser & Sun Block

    Moisturiser is added to hydrate and replenish the skin of its lost moisture. The therapist adds a thoughtful finishing touch – adding sun block to protect Yi Jing’s skin from harmful UV rays.

After the Treatment...

The treatment used high technology face-lifting equipment that gives visible results after just one treatment. The staff did one side of my face first to show us the changes, and my friends and I both saw visible differences in chin and jaw line. It was also a very comfortable procedure where I could feel great increase in blood circulation to the face that was supposedly good for my skin as well! I could feel that my face is tighter and firmer. For subsequent days my skin was more radiant and I looked healthier.

I would recommend this, especially to working adults who would want to preserve their youth and have a more radiant healthy skin.

Pure O2 Peel Facial

Due to a hectic schedule of work and late sleeping habits, Aaron totally neglects his face. Due to this, he suffers from dull skin and acne. To address his skin's lack of luster, Derma Image suggested the Pure O2 Peel Facial. It uses a hand piece that creates a supersonic two-phase jet consisting of microdroplets of saline solution and medical oxygen that gently and accurately removes dead skin cells. Deeper peeling involving the papillary dermis results in improved elasticity of the skin due to the regenerative processes in the collagen tissue.

Steps

  1. Cleansing

    Aaron’s skin is thoroughly cleansed to remove oil, dust and other skin impurities.

  2. Exfoliation

    To remove dead skin cells that make skin dull and dry, the therapist uses a facial scrub.

  3. Medical Oxygen Treatment

    Our skin needs oxygen to assist in the production of collagen and elastin that will help heal and replenish the skin.

  4. Results

    Aaron is given a mirror to assess and see for himself how well the treatment is going and how his skin improved.

    The collagen mask boosts the skin’s suppleness and creates a brighter, fairer and more youthful complexion.

After the Treatment...

I noticed that my face became fairer and not so dull immediately after the treatment. Pimple became less obvious and most will usually clear up pretty quickly.

As I tend to neglect my face and sleep quite late, I have dull skin and acne. However, after the treatment and as the oxygen is immediately absorbed by the skin, my face became smoother and brighter. I have recommended it to my friends and they gave me the same feedback – it works very well for them.

IPL Under Arm Hair Removal

Yi Jing loves wearing sleeveless tops that show off her beautifully toned arms. However, she finds shaving quite troublesome. Derma Image suggested the IPL Under Arm Hair Removal to quickly get rid of her underarm stubble

Steps

  1. Shave Under Arm Hair

    The therapist gently shaves off Yi Jing's underarm hair, while being careful not leave nicks or scratches.

  2. Apply Cold Gel

    Cold gel is then applies to allow the IPL wand to glide over her armpits smoothly.

  3. IPL

    IPL emits high-energy pulses of light directed at the hair follicles. The light is absorbed within the hair shaft, causing the destruction of the hair follicle.

  4. Aloe Vera Gel

    Aloe vera gel is applied to soothe the hair follicles and restore the skin's normal temperature.

After the Treatment...

The staff were very knowledgeable and explained adequately the physiology of hair growth and how the treatment can eliminate the growth of hair in different areas of the body. They also did proper steps of cool down and after-treatment care to ensure maximum care. It was a very fast and hassle-free treatment that gave maximum results! The hair grew back slower and it appeared to be finer. I think it’s a value for your money, where hassles of shaving or waxing the underarm can be eliminated. It also helps to whiten the underarms overtime and will be able to give me less embarrassing moments when I wear sleeveless tops and dresses!

Beauty Tips

After every facial, make sure you apply moisturizer at night to keep your skin’s moisture balance. The oilier you skin type is, the more you need moisturizer to even out the water level. Also, make sure you put on sun block after the treatment to protect your skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays. In fact, it is advisable to wear sun block daily. Even indoor lighting can damage your skin if you’re not careful.

    The O2 facial is a must-try, seriously, the immediate result of the lifting effect, plus an instant look of a smoother surface of the skin after the treatment simply removes years from my age! Ok, patient therapist and overall, good service and nice smelling environment. :)
